About Us

The D.A.R.A. Curling Club (Department of Agriculture Recreation Association) began in 1961 at Lansdowne Park, with an Open Fixed league and a Social Draw league playing on different nights. For decades, the members were predominately employees, or friends of employees, of Agriculture Canada, which is no longer the case. Everyone is welcome!

In 1991, Lansdowne decided to eliminate its Curl-O-Drome curling operations. As a result, the Open Fixed league now plays at the Carleton Heights Curling Club on Tuesdays at 5 and 7:15 pm. There is currently space available for a couple of teams for the 5pm draw.

The Social Draw league now plays at the City View Curling Club on Thursdays at 5pm. Minimal curling experience is required for individuals to join.

Please contact the league coordinator for further information.
