The Sunday Open Doubles league returns this year to Carleton Heights! This league offers recreational play for teams of two (any gender). Doubles is an excellent format for curlers with some experience who are interested in a quick game with strategy focused on making great draws.

Doubles curling is a little different from regular (4-person) curling. Games are played by teams of two over six ends. Each end begins with one rock from each team placed in the house, and each team throws five rocks each. Doubles curling is a partnership where both teammates contribute to deciding the shots to make and the strategy to play.

Games are played over 1 hour and 15 minutes. If there is sufficient interest, the Sunday league can accommodate up to 20 teams across two draw times, tentatively scheduled for 4:00 pm and 5:15 pm.
